アメリカ生まれのDJ/プロデューサーIlleniumと、アメリカ生まれのシンガーソングライターSkylar Greyのコラボ曲From The Ashesを和訳
去年行われたIlleniumのFallen Embersツアー。この曲はその初回公演である10月2日にオーランドで初披露されました。約1年の間Illeniumファンがずっと待ち望んでいた曲が今年の9月16日にリリースされるという事でもうワクワクでたまりません
この曲でボーカルを務めているのはSkylar Grey。彼女はEminemやDr. Dre, J Cole, Macklemore, G-EazyなどのHiphop系アーティストに多く楽曲提供をしているのですが、それのみならず他にもRihannaやKehlani, Robin Schulz, Dabid Guetta, Seebなどの多岐ジャンルに渡って楽曲提供をしています。実はZeddのClarityでも作詞で参加をしているんですね。彼女は現在載せた写真と違って昨年髪をバッサリ切ってスキンヘッドにしています。
この曲はIlleniumにとってかなり思い入れの深い曲のようで、彼が発表した自信の好きな曲ランキングで5位にランクインしています。リリース前なのにこのランキングに入れるって相当好きなんでしょうね笑 確かに、曲名に彼のファーストアルバムであるAshesが入っているのも、曲調が彼の初期のスタイルに寄せているのも考えると彼にとって特別な曲なんだと改めて実感します。先日Twitterで新アルバムの匂わせツイートをしていたのでそろそろアルバムリリースも近いはず!!楽しみですね🤤
